“WE CAN HELP MOORE” is a multi-level fundraising effort spearheaded by musician Kenny Wayne Shepherd, YEARONE and the Hot Rodders Children’s Charity
May 22, 2013 – Multi-Platinum blues/rock guitarist Kenny Wayne Shepherd and DCF Concerts in association with muscle car parts supplier YEARONE and the Hot Rodders Children’s Charity announced today the formation of the “We Can Help Moore” Relief Effort to benefit the victims of the recent tornadoes in Moore. Oklahoma. All proceeds from the Relief Effort will be donated to the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma.
The “We Can Help Moore” Relief Effort will begin immediately with all donations received by the Hot Rodders Children’s Charity (HRCC) beginning now through June 7th benefitting the tornado victims. Donations can be made by visiting www.yearone.com or www.hotrodderschildrenscharity.org.
The Relief Effort kicks into high gear during the week of June 1st through June 7th, when muscle car parts supplier YEARONE will be attending the Hot Rod Magazine Power Tour. The Power Tour is a rolling car show/road trip that travels from Arlington, Texas to Charlotte, North Carolina, stopping each night in a different city. At each stop YEARONE and the HRCC will be taking donations for the “We Can Help Moore” Relief Effort. The Relief Effort culminates on June 7th, 2013 with a special Kenny Wayne Shepherd Band concert benefit taking place at The Diamond Ballroom in Oklahoma City, OK benefiting those affected by the tragic tornado.
Ticket information is available online at www.dcfconcerts.com. Ticket prices will be $30, although, all tickets previously purchased for the Kenny Wayne Shepherd concert will be honored. In addition to the $30 ticket price there will be 60 VIP Packages available for $100. VIP packages will include admission to the We Can Help Moore Concert, admission to the soundcheck party, a meet-and-greet with Kenny Wayne Shepherd and early admission to the venue.
Kenny Wayne Shepherd and event producers issued the following statement: “We Can Help Moore” is a way for us to aid a community that has been devastated by the tornadoes. We have decided to donate all proceeds from this concert to The Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma.
YEARONE President and HRCC Founder Kevin King stated: “Our hearts and prayers go out to the victims of the recent tragedy in Moore, Oklahoma. We spoke with our good friend Kenny Wayne Shepherd and we both agreed the “We Can Help Moore” effort was something we could do to help. We’ll be carrying the message of help and hope across the country on behalf of Moore, Oklahoma.”
As the residents of Oklahoma begin to recover from the stunning destruction they endured, We Can Help Moore will provide an opportunity for the community to come together to provide comfort and support to their neighbors.
